This series comes in 2 models. The MTX900 is a non-keypad model and the MTX960 is a keypad model.
Both models have its own distinctive, easy to use features; offering a wide range of capabilities for the Single Site Shared Mobile Radio to private security users. The distinctive features of the MTX960 keypad model is its 1×14 character LCD screen display & intuitive menu navigation that gives the user instant talk group identification.

AUDIO TECHNOLOGY
Sound quality is critical for effective communication. The MTX900 and MTX960 trunked radio series deliver clear audio in almost any environment, supported by Low Level Expansion (LLE) and a noise-cancelling microphone.
WIDEBAND & PROGRAMMABLE CHANNEL SPACING (12.5 / 20 / 25 kHz)
Wideband technology combined with programmable channel spacing offers greater flexibility and ensures easy migration as communication requirements expand.
AUTOMATIC MULTIPLE SITE SELECTION (AMSS)
AMSS extends communication beyond a single trunked site. When signal strength drops, the radio automatically switches to a stronger site, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted connectivity.
EMERGENCY ALARM*
An emergency alert function allows users to instantly notify the dispatcher by pressing the dedicated orange emergency button. These alerts are given highest priority within the system for rapid response.
SELECTIVE RADIO INHIBIT
For enhanced security, radios that are lost or stolen can be remotely disabled by the dispatcher, preventing unauthorized use.
TALKGROUP SCAN
Enables efficient monitoring by allowing users to scan multiple talkgroups and conventional channels, ideal for multi-system environments.
DUAL MODE CAPABILITY
Supports both trunked and conventional operation, giving users the flexibility to operate across different communication systems.
FAILSOFT OPERATION
In case of trunked system failure, the radio automatically switches to a preassigned voice channel, allowing continued communication in non-trunked repeater mode.
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY OPTION
The lithium-ion battery provides higher capacity with reduced weight, enabling longer operating time and improved portability.
